Melinda Imthurn, Artistic Director

Melinda holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and a Master of Music in Vocal Pedagogy from Texas Woman’s University, with continued studies at Shenandoah Conservatory.  As a vocalist, Melinda has performed with the Denton Light Opera Company, Deep Ellum Opera Theatre, Helios Ensemble, Fort Worth Early Music Society, Casa Manana, and in solo recital.  In addition to serving as TWCD’s Artistic Director, Melinda is a member of the full-time music faculty at Eastfield College in the Dallas County Community College District.  She also maintains a busy private vocal studio and is a frequent clinician and adjudicator for choral groups and soloists.

Faith Ptomey, General Manager

  

Faith holds a Bachelor of Arts in Worship Leadership from The King’s University, graduating summa cum laude. She currently serves as the General Manager for The Women’s Chorus of Dallas, where she combines her lifelong passion for music with experience in nonprofit operations, donor relations, and creative leadership. Faith oversees operational systems that support the chorus’ artistic mission.

Timothy Sanchez, Accompanist

 

Timothy is a student at the University of North Texas pursuing a B.M in Music Theory and a B.M in Music Education. He serves as an active chorister for university ensembles, A Capella and Vox Aquilae and serves as an accompanist for Camerata and Upfront. When not in class, he works in the DFW metroplex as a freelance pianist and sacred musician. He collaborates with vocal studios and retains an active recital schedule.
